Frequently asked questions

Everything you might wonder before spinning up your first world.

What is WyrmHost?

WyrmHost is private hosting for fantasy co-op survival worlds. Pick a region and a plan, click deploy, and in about a minute you get a dedicated world server your friends can join with an address and a world password.

Why do I have to press “Start” before my friends can join?

A world only appears to players while its server process is actually running. When a world is idle it releases its online session and vanishes from the in-game browser — there is no wake-on-join. So the host presses Start, waits through a short warm-up, and then shares the address. This is what lets idle worlds cost you almost nothing.

How does billing work?

Every plan is billed by the hour, so an idle world is cheap to keep around. Stop it when your group logs off and you only pay for the hours it actually ran. Monthly prices shown are the cap for a world left online 24/7.

How many people can play together?

Each plan sets a comfortable player cap — from 4 on Hearth up to 16 on Stronghold. You can resize a world's plan later as your group grows.

Where are the servers located?

We deploy to global points of presence across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific so you can pick the region closest to your group for the lowest latency.

Is my world private?

Yes. Every world is protected by a world password you choose, and only the owner you name can manage it. Share the address and password with your friends and no one else can wander in.

Do updates happen automatically?

Your world dashboard shows the installed build and whether a newer one is available. Updates apply in a controlled window so they never interrupt an active session mid-play.
